A New Way To Think About Crypto Communities
Too much money is floating in this space, and not enough good is being done with it. Scams are sucking in people's money left and right, and we simply accept it as part of the crypto casino. Four Twenty Frens wants to do our part to try to fix all of this, by taking crypto outside of crypto and making a real world impact. Whether we fall short and only achieve a few of our initial objectives, or whether we succeed beyond our wildest dreams, we know that a positive impact will be the purpose of everything we do regardless. Not many projects can say the same.
We are a group of degenerate pothead crypto lovers who have just enough tech experience to clone a smart contract, but enough social know-how and love for the world to really make an impact.
Our first objective is simple. Donate 420 kilograms of food to people in need in our local community. It all starts here. It all starts with you. Me.
Our next objective? Donate 420 pairs of clothes to people in need. Everything. Shoes, socks, underwear, I'm talking a full wardrobe. Something so many of us take for granted is a luxury to so many others.
Now that we have some momentum, let's start thinking big.
How big? We want to directly impact 420 people living in remote villages. People who walk miles everyday just to get their supply of water from a well. People who have to sacrifice their next meal to ensure their kids get enough to eat too. People who have no chance of ever escaping poverty. People who are not like you and I. People who may never get the chance to even read these words, or any words for that matter. There are the people in this world that really need help. And we live each day only concerned with our own troubles, not realizing there are people with problems that make ours look like blessings. As hard as it may seem at times to empathize with such distanced people. We must.
Crypto and Web 3 has begun to level the global playing field. But it's time we accelerate this beyond technological change, it's time we bring real change to real human suffering.
We are all in this together, are we not? We are all one species, are we not? Let's start acting like it. Let's live everyday like it. Let's make it our mantra to do good and to be good. To only put good out. Let's be a part of this universal team that we each are an integral part of, even if we never signed up for it.
